Hardy, deciduous, multi-stemmed spiny, shrub with very attractive, hanging, yellow and pink puffball flowers from Oct. to Jan.  The leaves are fine and Acacia-like and the fruits are bunches of sickle-shaped pods.  A good addition to a security hedge.  Steeped in folklore and used medicinally.  Throughout Africa it is associated with snakes both magically and medicinally.
