Hardy, evergreen shrub or small tree with firm, shiny, dark green, trifoliate Rhus-like leaves and massed spikes of small whitish-green flowers with a pleasant smell from March to May. It attracts butterflies and other insects. Clusters of shiny, brilliant red berries make a lovely show in late winter and attract birds. It is ideal as a screen and forms a decorative shrub once established. Plant in sun or semi-shade. It has a beautiful shape and is very decorative.
