Fairly hardy, evergreen, erect, soft shrub with many velvety branches that are soft, semi-succulent and hairy when young.  The leaves are olive-green, soft and velvety.  It bears compact spikes of pale blue to mauvish-white flowers throughout the year that attract butterflies and insects.  Plant in semi-shade or shade in well-drained, well composted soil.  It is a great garden and container plant.  Prune back after flowering.
